Poetry Extravaganza 2016

The theme of this year’s competition was "Music”. The competition was open to Wirral Adults and Students of all ages and we were delighted to receive over 600 entries. Cash prizes were awarded to both winners and runners up in each age category and all winners were invited to attend a workshop hosted the renowned local poet John Hughes and to an awards evening held at Bromborough Civic Centre on 18/03/2016. 

The overall winner of this years competition and Wirral's Young Poet Laureate for 2016/17 is Jessica Carney. Many congratulations to Jessica, we hope that you thoroughly enjoy your year.
