2020 Christmas Tree donated to Greasby Village in memory of Christopher

For those of you who knew Christopher you would know how much he loved Christmas and had his wish list written in late October! So when we read that Greasby Village was raising funds to purchase a Christmas tree, it gave us the idea to donate one in Christopher's memory. Christopher was born and bred in Greasby so it seemed fitting to be able to donate something in his memory to benefit the village.

So in November 2020 it was our privilege to be able to donate the £3000 to the "Light up Greasby" fund to enable a Christmas tree to be planted in Christopher's name. The £3000 was raised by Christopher's Brother Jonathan and Jonathan's friend Nick when they ran the Stockholm marathon in May 2019 and raised funds for the foundation. We cannot thank them enough for their marathon effort and for raising such a magnificent sum!

Whilst a planted tree is sourced and appropriate permission granted a cut tree was kindly donated by Manor Farm in Frankby and was lit in Christopher's memory at the beginning of December. It was a proud but emotional moment to see it finally lit. We hope Christopher would be pleased!
