The Christopher Salmon Foundation in partnership with Wirral Libraries and Wirral Poetry Festival would like to thank everyone who has entered this years competition. We were delighted to have received over 500 entries and the extremely difficult task of judging has now taken place and all the winners have been notified. The winners and those selected as being highly commended and their families will then be invited to an awards evening , which is being held on the evening of Friday 07.07.2023.The winners of the 5 age categories will be presented with their prize money and both the winners and the highly commended entries will given the opportunity to share their poems on the night.
A £100 prize will be awarded to the winner of each of the following five age categories:
- age 7 and under (KS 1)
- age 8 to 11 (KS 2)
- age 11 to 13 (KS 3)
- age 14 to 16 (KS 4)
- age 16 to 19 (in full time education)
The 2024 competition will be launched in the autumn of 2023 .
